He majored in biochemistry in his undergraduate training at UMCP, volunteered for Teach for America (2011 corps) in Camden, NJ, teaching high school chemistry. While teaching he also pursued coursework and research for medical school at the University of Pennsylvania.
Throughout his career he has developed a passion for teaching. Due to his success on the MCAT he has taught pre-health examination programs for Kaplan Test Prep since 2012 (authoring a review text for the 2015 version of the MCAT examination) and in his spare time volunteered to teach first aid, CPR, and AED courses for the American Red Cross since 2008.
His career continued to lead him to a path of passionate public service, where he attended America’s Medical School, the Uniformed Services University. Throughout his time there he completed the Master Fitness Trainer course for the U.S. Army, certified in Battlefield Acupuncture for the U.S. Air Force, and was formally inducted into the Arnold Gold Humanism Honor Society. He was also awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for the Ebola Crisis in West Africa and the United States by President Barack Obama in 2014-2015.
He is also a perpetual innovator and collaborator. He began his interest in medical applications for blockchain technologies in 2017.
